Anchorages, Marinas and Fuel Stations on the East Coast of Brazil:

These are some of the recommended anchorages to be used on the East Coast of Brazil. They are not the only ones, but they are the safest ones. One rule to obey is to never anchor alone to spend the night on an open anchorage. There are no Pirates in Brazil, but there can opportunistic local people that decide to exploit a foreigner on a deserted anchorage. If, at the end of the day, you see all other boats leaving, it may be a sign for you to go anchor where there will be more boats. Ask other captains about the safety at the anchorage you are. Some of these WPs point to marinas. It is always safer to be at marinas than on open anchorages. If you need/want to explore other, non listed anchorages, write to me at matajusi@gmail.com.
